Geoffrey Bishop, Allen’s Year 11 English teacher, inspired him to become a writer. After a brief stint writing the movie star bios for Fantales wrappers, Allen went on to craft direct mail for HCF and the 40-hour Famine, online content for Nike, and award-winning websites about home mortgages and merino wool. Eventually, he co-wrote a feature film that was nominated for an Australian Writers Guild Screenplay Award. The surname of the central character? Geoffrey-Bishop.

Allen discovered his passion for teaching at AFTRS, the national film school, then used his story knowledge to help executives at Telstra and Nestlé enhance their presentation skills.

Since joining our team, he has trained over 4,000 people, including clients from the Department of the Australian Institute of Family Studies, WorkSafe Victoria and Blacktown City Council.

He looks forward to drawing on his experiences to help you write shorter, more engaging documents, more quickly.
